The interior of your lodge

Sandwiched between a Camborne Brazilian slate roof and the tongue and grooved pine ceiling is a condensation layer, a vapour barrier, breathable roofing felt, 100mm Kingspan insulation and another layer of T & G boarding, all helping to minimize heat loss and maintain low running costs.

Each lodge comes complete with a natural stone floor throughout. Slate as standard. The show lodges contain one slate and one limestone floor. These have been chosen to make full use of the benefits of the under floor heating system and are easy to keep clean.

Ground source heating uses renewable solar energy stored in the garden to run the central heating and hot water systems, replacing traditional fossil fuel boilers such as oil and gas. Heat Pumps work by heating the fabric of the building and then simply topping up any heat loss, which makes them very efficient. It has the added benefit of saving up to 70% of running costs over oil or LPG. Although relatively new to the UK, Heat Pumps are a proven technology pioneered by IVT in Sweden where 97% of all new houses are built with heat pump heating systems.

This will give an estimated cost of £120 - £150 for heating and hot water per year.

Your lodge comes with fully fitted modern bathroom with floor to ceiling wall tiles, all standard. The kitchen has been designed with many space saving devices, magic corners, ironing boards etc and comes complete as standard with grade A energy saving appliances.

New, 9 watt low energy halogen lighting is used throughout. The 2 bedroom contains 30 of these brushed brass recessed spots and the 3 bedroom lodge contains 36.
